Registration

Companies who do business with the EU are finding it difficult to understand what they need to do to properly register substances. Yet critical deadlines loom for registration, notification and reclassification—some just six months away!

This practical workshop, presented by Chemical Information Services, the world leader in sourcing information, and REACHReady, is designed to help US and non-EU companies understand what needs to be done now to complete and submit a registration dossier in the EU.

Business and regulatory executives will be informed and ready to:
  • Understand some of the technical requirements for completing a dossier
  • Understand how to submit a registration dossier in the EU
  • Gain a solid working overview of Classification, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) regulation
  • Submit a CLP notification

If you are managing your own joint registration in a SIEF, then you will still need to prepare and submit—through an EU-based Only Representative (OR)—your own registration dossier in IUCLID5 using, as a minimum, your own substance identity data. This workshop will help you with the steps needed to complete a registration. You’ll learn:

  • How to get a LOA (Letter of Access)
  • What sections to fill in for your IUCLID5 registration dossier
  • How extensive a CSR (Chemical Safety Report) needs to be

As if REACH were not enough to contend with, the EU has also implemented a new system for the classification and labeling of chemicals, CLP (Classification, Labeling and Packaging) Regulation. Intended to be a major step towards a globally harmonized system (GHS) for labeling in the EU, the new rules require action by December 1, 2010. Importers into the EU are already asking their non-EU suppliers for help. The afternoon session of this workshop will take you step-by-step through the reclassification and notification processes under CLP, to ensure your company meets every requirement!

There will be ample opportunity to network and quiz the REACHReady team about this most complex and far-reaching of regulations.

“The day spent attending this course was very worthwhile and has helped considerably towards understanding what Joint Registrants must individually provide when submitting dossiers to ECHA.”
